Wanda Kowalk

Online Obituaries for the Hamilton OH Area Wanda M. Kowalk, age 84, died Friday April 27, 2012 at Hospice of Cincinnati in Hamilton. She was born December 20, 1927, the daughter of Albert G. and Lillie Marcum. Wanda was educated in the Hamilton City School District and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1945. She married Arthur Thornton Kowalk, on August 31, 1956 and they enjoyed 46 years of marriage before Arthur preceded her in death on August 6, 2003.
Wanda loved her family and was especially devoted to her daughter, Cheryl. Wanda enjoyed a fulfilling career as vice president of Cemetery Sales and Consulting (management company for Rose Hill Burial Park) and enjoyed spending time at their lake house at Indian Lake with friends and family. After the death of her husband, Wanda enjoyed traveling to her home in Sarasota, Florida with her daughter Cheryl as her navigator.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lillie Marcum, her sister and her husband, Norma Jean Potts and William Potts, and her niece, Mary Lou Hyatt. She is survived by her son Scott Edward Kowalk, Sr. (Vicki), and their children Scott Edward Kowalk, Jr. (Anna) and Bennett Thornton Kowalk; her son, Marc Alan Kowalk (Sally) and their children, Natalie Nicole Kowalk, Kristopher Alan Kowalk and Konrad Alexander Kowalk; her devoted daughter, Cheryl Lynne Kowalk; her brother, Harold Marcum (Marjorie) and their children, Patricia Marcum, Becky Wallen (Mike), Rob Marcum (Kelli), Barbara Parsons (Harold); her cousin, Frances Bobo (Dale); and her niece Karen Wittmer (Dan).
Services being officiated by Reverend Paul Daggett of Trinity Episcopal Church. The Kowalk family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of Berkeley Square and the Hospice of Hamilton for their care of Wanda during her illness.
Funeral Information
Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Ivey Funeral Home at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will follow the funeral service in Rose Hill’s Sanctuary Rose Mausoleum
