Marshall Wilson “Bill”, 86 of Hamilton passed away on Monday, Feb. 20 2012 at Atrium Hospital, Middletown. He was born Feb. 2, 1926 in Cynthiana, Ky., to the late Ester (Purdee) Gamboe & Robert Bishop. He was a 1944 graduate of Hamilton High School. He served in the Navy in the Pacific Theater in WWII. After the military he started as an ice man, worked as a constable in New Miami, then worked at Fernald as a security guard and raised to supervisor of security, where he retire after 30+ years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing & traveling which took him across the US several times RV camping & cruised to many places including Hawaii, Panama Canal, Baltic Sea & Russia. He is survived by his 3 sons, Steve (Diana) Bishop of Springboro, Philip Bishop of Hamilton and William (Bonnie) Bishop of West College Corner, IN. 5 grand children, Tammy Watts of Hartsville, SC, Susan Bishop of Schaumburg, Il., Steve II (Deane) Bishop of Van Wert, Oh., Ben Bishop of Hamilton. and Miranda Ballman of Middletown, Ohio. 7 great- grand children, and 3 great-great grand children, and one sister, Phyllis DeWeese Morgan of Middletown, sister-in-laws Ruth Bishop, Virgina Clark & brother & sister-in-law Earl & Gloria Mae Bennett.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 58 years, Mary Helen (Bennett) Bishop, one brother Patrick Bishop & 2 sisters Mirabelle Reuther of Chicago, IL. and Virginia Blevins of Fairfield, OH and FL. Funeral InformationVisitation will be 10 - 11AM Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 at the Ivey Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Rd. Hamilton, OH. Funeral service will be 11am Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum. |
